Octopus foraging decisions

This study examines how octopuses forage across different habitats by documenting prey selection, handling behavior, movement, and habitat use during feeding events. By comparing foraging patterns among habitat types, the project investigates how environmental structure, shelter availability, prey accessibility, and local habitat complexity shape feeding strategies. These observations will help determine how octopuses adjust their behavior to different ecological conditions and provide insight into their role as predators within coastal benthic food webs.
